Following the success Forum of Mayors in October 2020 and in April 2022, a third Forum will be held at the Palais des Nations in Geneva, Switzerland, on 2-3 October 2023. The Forum will be held back-to-back with the Committee on Urban Development, Housing and Land Management to link local and national actions to support the achievement of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals. As in previous years, the Forum will reflect the increasing need to involve local stakeholders towards meeting the SDGs targets and provide a platform for local authorities in the UNECE region to share best practices to tackle different issues, including COVID-19 recovery, urban sustainability, affordable housing, sustainable transport and mobility, climate action and others.
