The objective of the project is to enhance capacity of CIS countries in developing and implementing policies and strategies for sustainable housing and sustainable smart cities. The project will establish a Centre of Excellence for the CIS countries in Yerevan, Armenia; in cooperation with relevant national and local authorities; and will work to develop capacity building activities and relevant studies tailored to the needs of CIS countries. The project activities will be implemented in close collaboration with already established eight Geneva UN Charter Centres of Excellence, see information at https://unece.org/housing/charter-centres.
